Write down anything you want on the virtual sticky notes offered to you by X Sticky Notes. After that you can edit the text, insert images, attach files, pick a custom skin, stick the note to a window or leave it on your desktop, and set up a reminder for that note.

There are two X Sticky Notes versions to choose from: a shareware version that you can use for free for a 40-day trial period and a Lite version that is absolutely free (no ads either). Both of them will work on a machine powered by a 32 or 64-bit version of Windows 8, 7, Vista, XP, or 2003. To get started with X Sticky Notes on a Pc powered by any of these Windows editions you must download a small archive, extract the executable inside, and run it.

When you run X Sticky Notes for the first time, you will be presented with a Help note. It will tell you that: you can drag a note to the edge of the screen to hide it; copy large text or long URLs into a note; add attachments by dragging and dropping them into the note or by copying and pasting them into the note; stick a note to a program or to a window from the Stick Menu; start a bullet list or create a checkbox.

There are two ways to create a virtual sticky note: double click the system tray icon or right click said icon and choose the New Note option. The note can be customized as follows: pick a skin from the gallery, enter the text you want, edit the text font type and color, , attach files, attach files to the note, set a reminder for the note, stick the note to a window or proram, set the note as transparent.

Right click the X Sticky Notes icon in the system tray and you will be presented with a context menu that, among other things, lets you backup your notes, access a handy find function, and hide all your notes out of sight.

Speaking about that, X Sticky Notes comes with a cool floating icon that quickly presents all hidden notes. Place the mouse cursor over it and your hidden notes will be displayed for as long as the cursor is on top of the icon. This means that when you move the cursor away, the notes will once again be hidden.
Click the icon and your hidden notes will be presented on a more permanent basis.

With X Sticky Notes, you can easily create virtual sticky notes and customize them as you see fit.
